Hi! I’m Mia :)
I am a Massachusetts-based Licensed Mental Health Counselor and owner of Mindfully Finding Therapy! A few years into my post-graduate experience, I created Mindfully Finding Therapy to integrate my clinical interests that lie at the intersection of complex trauma, cultural responsiveness, attachment & relationships, and the role of identity as an instrument for healing & growth. The mission of my practice, and as an individual therapist, is to ensure that those who sit in my therapy chair feel not just validated, but that their values are honored and their authentic selves are truly seen.
My experience spans a decade across a variety of mental health settings, ranging from community mental health and inpatient hospitals, to group facilitation and private practice. Over the course of my career, I have worked with individuals accross the lifespan and have been dedicated to serving historically marginalized communities within my clinical practice, offering identity-affirming mental health services for women, BIPOC, and LGBTQ communities and intersections. I have a particular interest in working with the Latinx community, and my specialized graduate studies enforced the development of clinical skills and cultural knowledge to provide competent Latino mental health care.
I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from William James College with an Area of Emphasis in Latino Mental Health Counseling. I earned my Bachelor of Arts from Lesley University, where I majored in Psychology and obtained two minor degrees in Expressive Arts Therapy and Creative Writing.
I speak English and Spanish and offer services in both languages.
